Heather Branigin

Heather Branigin

Heather has been involved in the fields of Education and Development for over 20 years. She is currently a board member of the United Nations Association of Minnesota, and has experience in local government.

Heather is committed to helping people understand global interconnectedness and the importance of international collaboration. As past PTA President, she co-founded the Global Citizens Fund and raised funds to provide elementary students with opportunities to learn about the world. More recently, she served as Co-President of the United Nations Association of Minnesota (UNA-MN) where she led two years of programming focused on local and global issues of Poverty, and oversaw the expansion of the UNA-MN Model UN program in the Twin Cities area. She has coordinated numerous conferences, events and workshops and applies her grant writing skills in both her professional and volunteer lives.

Heather has an Honours Degree from Neuchatel Jr. College in Switzerland, a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Carleton College, Minnesota (USA), and an M.A. in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. Heather is committed to contributing to a world where current and future generations are able to live productive, fulfilling and sustainable lives.
