Building collaboration in the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea

Project Overview

The Programme Maritime (Italy –France) 2007-2013 was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for an amount of approximately € 160 million, in addition to national contributions. The new programming period (2014-2020) is seeing an increase in the total financing (€ 170 million). The goal of the programme is to improve cooperation between border areas in terms of accessibility, innovation, enhancement of natural and cultural resources and integration of resources and services in order to increase competitiveness. This project was a collaboration between Future iQ and Italian strategic partners, Klink.

Future iQ®'s Role in this Project

  • Regional surveys
  • Implementing scenario-planning methodology within 4 large Future sessions
  • Production of a series of 4 individual reports for each of the 4 regions, inputting into a Joint Analysis Report for the 4 regions.
  • Support to cross-border Inter-institutional Laboratory sessions.
  • Follow up of focus groups in session in Tuscany
  • Networking activities
  • Definition and presentation of the Strategic Plan of the port cities of the North Tyrrhenian Sea
