David conducted the webinar ‘Planning for the Future in a Time of Uncertainty’ with the Institute of Directors – Scotland, UK. He discusses external trends with the webinar participants, exploring which trends are being amplified and accelerated in these Covid-19 times in relation to both individuals and UK businesses. He also asks where are the tipping points and which trends may be elastic, with the onset of working from home, home schooling and humans living in insular bubbles.

David conducted the webinar, ‘Thriving in a Future World’ as part of the North Eastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center’s (NEPRIC) Manufacturing Day 2020. He explored external trends and the elasticity of change in Covid-19 times and its relationship to Manufacturing.

David spoke about “The New Business Climate – Impacts and Opportunities” in this keynote for Greater Mankato Growth, Minnesota. David explored the impacts of the global Covid-19 pandemic and how it will open the door to new opportunities and challenges for regional economies.

David presented the key note ‘Thriving in a Future World’ at the global Adventure Travel and Trade Association’s virtual AdventureELEVATE conference. David emphasised using future thinking as a way to deal with the uncertainty of our times. He emphasised that trends are being amplified and accelerated, however what becomes a new habit or new reality may depend on how long we have to adjust and conform to quarantines, border closures, and limitations on social gatherings.

David’s ED Talk is “Navigating the Speed of Change – with a Future Lens”. David focuses on how the speed of change in the business landscape is accelerating, which demands that business strategy finds a balance between being deeply rooted in core strategic goals yet is able to be agile and able to respond to new opportunities and threats.
