Kristin is founder and CEO of Crosscurrent Collective and is an acknowledged leader, pioneer and innovator in the field of destination development and management. She has led numerous teams in successfully developing Oregon into a premier travel destination, developed breakthrough programs that empower communities to encourage and manage tourism, and helped frame the concept of sustainable travel in the Northwest. During her time as Vice President of Destination Development, with Travel Oregon, she also designed and directed statewide programs that supported the development of outdoor recreation, agritourism, and sustainable visitor transportation experiences.

Originally from Juneau, Alaska, Kristin started her career in tourism as a guide on the Mendenhall Glacier, an experience that has driven her career’s work to balance economic growth and tourism with stewardship of people and places. She has since guided in Oregon, Utah, Mexico, Costa Rica, Laos and Cambodia. Kristin has a deep devotion to helping people understand, enjoy and preserve the world’s natural wonders, and she puts her strong leadership and organisational skills to work every day to accomplish this.
