Project Overview

The City of Moab is the largest city in Grand County, Utah and is world renowned for its dramatic scenery and outdoor recreation opportunities. The City has seen tremendous growth over the last 20 years and has a current population of just over 5,000 residents. Due to its proximity to National Parks, public lands, and world-class outdoor recreation opportunities, the City is a popular tourist destination and attracts between 3-5 million visitors annually.

Future iQ worked with the City of Moab, Utah to design and facilitate a community-wide visioning and planning process throughout 2022. Through in-depth community engagement the City of Moab assisted the community articulate the tangible and intangible elements that, if lost, would fundamentally change the character of Moab. The process resulted in a Strategic Action Plan that will help the City direct its efforts and resources toward a defined vision for the future. The process will also guide decision makers to focused growth areas throughout the City, establish community priorities for guiding the current and future business environment and potentially inform the revision of the General Plan.
