Building ‘Future Intelligence’ in the New North regional economic and workforce ecosystem

Project Overview

This project aims to develop a future-thinking approach to strategic action planning for the New North organization and region. In particular, it includes working with the newly formed Business Intelligence Committee to support future scenario forecasting, including identifying key trends (e.g. disruptions, blind spots, opportunities, efficiencies, innovations).

New North, Inc. is a non-profit, regional marketing and economic development organization fostering collaboration among private and public sector leaders throughout the 18 counties of Northeast Wisconsin, known as the New North region. The New North brand unites the region both internally and externally around talent development, brand promotion and business development, signifying the collective economic power behind the 18 counties. The counties include Outagamie, Winnebago, Calumet, Waupaca, Brown, Shawano, Oconto, Marinette, Door, Kewaunee, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Florence, Menominee and Waushara. Future iQ®'s Role in this Project

    Future iQ is helping guide the overall development of a ‘Business Intelligence’ future-thinking process, and includes:

    • Conducting a Future ‘Think-Tank’ to create a series of scenarios for the region.
    • Supporting the local ‘Business Intelligence Committee’ and stakeholders to explore key driver and trend analysis.
    • Assisting in the creation of a future ‘dashboard’ or ‘radar screen’ that will help track emerging trends and the regions competitive position.
    • Delivering an ED (Economic Development) keynote at the annual New North Summit on 5 December 2019, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
